41 Madison adds fifth showroom

Just in time for The New York Tabletop Market, Shinepukur Ceramics Ltd. opens showroom on 15th floor

Having earlier announced that four entirely new showrooms will be open for business for The New York Tabletop Market, April 22-25, Forty One Madison has made room for one more.

According to Laurie Burns, the building’s senior vice president and director, Shinepukur Ceramics Ltd. is the added newcomer, with a freshly renovated 1,100-square-foot space on the 15th floor. A renowned Bangladesh-based factory that began operations in 1999 and annually produces more than 3 million bone china and 18 million porcelain pieces for global distribution to all segments, including end-use consumers as well as hospitality and food service, Shinepukur has been a go-to manufacturing resource for many companies in the industry.

“We are proud to be a partner of Forty One Madison,” said Mohan Basak, who is heading up the North American operations for Shinepukur.

Another global giant among tableware manufacturers, Auratic, Inc., will be taking the wraps off its 14th floor showroom following a major interior makeover. The company, which is based in China, opened its flagship North American headquarters at Forty One four years ago, but spent the past year redesigning the space that exquisitely displays its array of bone china and porcelain products.

Reminding that Thursday, April 24, is Interior Designer Day, Editor TV will be posting video segments that trail some of the country’s leading design talents as they tour the building to visit their favorite showrooms and brands. “Interior designers have always been an important target audience for the luxury brands located at Forty One,” said Burns. “Business in this segment seems especially strong and continually growing with improving market conditions.”
