41 Madison preview: Villeroy & Boch
During the upcoming New York Tabletop Show, April 4-7, Villeroy & Boch will showcase two new Artesano patterns, a new version of NewWave, and a colourful new mix and match collection
Innovative food concepts, premium gift ideas and classic tabletop are among the offerings this Tabletop Show.
In tableware, there will be two new patterns in the bestselling Artesano collection: Artesano Nature, a new handpainted series with natural tones, and Artesano Montagne, featuring a design inspired by chalet chic and hygge; as well as an extension of bestselling series NewWave, with new version Stone, which features an innovative stone-look glaze; and brand-new colourful mix and match collection, Colourful Life.
Inspired by global food trends, the Food Passions Collections has been extended to include uniquely designed burger plates for BBQ Passion, and additions to Pizza and Pasta Passion. And new to the series is Coffee Passion, coffeeware designed to enhance the flavours and aromas of coffee.
Finally, Villeroy & Boch will present a wide selection of decorative accessories in its most popular patterns, and will introduce new design themes and shapes to its collectible Christmas Series – the all-new Winter Collage brings nostalgic motifs inspired by the North Pole Express.

Two Iuxury Italian brands have landed at Forty One Madison and will be debuting new showrooms for the upcoming New York Tabletop Market. For both Ercolano and Mepra, their debut at the prestigious tabletop building in New York represents a strategic move to expand business in the North American market.
Renowned for its masterfully handcrafted inlaid wood boxes and furniture, and especially esteemed for its iconic tabletop designs, Ercolano has taken a 1,000-sq-ft showroom is on the 22th floor. While Mepra, the Italian factory that’s been manufacturing sleek, modern flatware, cookware, serveware, barware and tabletop accessories since 1927, will have a 1,500-sq-ft showroom on the 22nd floor.
In addition to these two new debuts, there are also plenty of showroom movements and renovations.
Nikko, world renowned Japanese tableware manufacturer, will open a new 1,500-sq-ft showroom on the 19th floor, while Vietri, one of the largest importers of Italian tableware and home décor, is expanding by 50 per cent with relocation to a new showroom on the 22nd floor.
And DeVine Corporation, home to premium brands including J. L. Coquet, Ercuis, Raynaud, and Royal Crown Derby, is undergoing a full renovation on the 9th floor, and will debut Italian brand SV Casa. SV Casa.
The annual breakfast seminar returns, this year with a star-studded panel discussing a hot topic – Etail vs. Retail – and taking place on April 5, and the following day on Thursday, April 6, is Interior Designer Day, with some 45 Forty One Madison showrooms offering Direct Designer Access. www.41madison.com
