41 Madison readying for August show
More than 40 companies will be open and ready for business for buyers also visiting NY NOW from August 15-19
Giftware retailers and buyers will be headed to Forty One Madison, Saturday, August 15 through Wednesday, August 19, where they’ll find many of the category’s top-tier brands exclusively exhibiting in their permanent showrooms.
All told, more than 40 companies based at Forty One Madison will be welcoming visitors who also make the rounds at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center where NYNOW is staged. Helping to set the tone for the show at Forty One will be a special lobby display from William Yeoward Crystal.
In fact, Forty One Madison will be helping show-goers travel between venues, offering complimentary mini-coach shuttle service between its Madison and 26th Street location and Javits. The schedule of operation is daily 10am to 6 pm Monday and Tuesday, and until 2pm Wednesday.
And, with free high speed Wi-Fi now fully accessible throughout the building, guests can avail themselves of the Buyers’ Lounge on Level A knowing that it is a convenient meeting or touchdown spot between appointments.
Forty One Madison also is joining once again with Emerald Expositions and 230 Fifth Avenue to offer summer show attendees a cultural treat.
From Friday, August 14 through Friday, August 21, attendees who show their badges will be entitled to free admission to the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD), plus 20% discount (on full priced items) at The Store at MAD. Exhibitions on view at this 2 Columbus Circle museum include: Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today, an exploration of the important contributions of women to modernism in postwar visual culture; and, Ralph Pucci: The Art of the Mannequin, which includes not only some 30-plus of his most innovative “faux model” sculptures but also a gallery of jewelry designed by Isabel and Ruben Toledo. www.madmuseum.org.
