Elizabeth Hurley visits Ambiente

Actress, model and businesswoman Elizabeth Hurley went Power Shopping with Detlef Braun, member of the executive board of Messe Frankfurt at Ambiente 2017

Although she came in mufti and without any of the insignia of power, she was still the centre of attraction: in an azure costume and with a brilliant smile, Queen Helena paid a visit to Ambiente in Frankfurt am Main today. In everyday life, the star of the highly successful The Royals TV series answers to the name Elizabeth Hurley and is famed worldwide from innumerable film and television productions.

Hurley was particularly interested in the golden dinner service and artistic vases made by the renowned Meissen porcelain manufactory. At Arthur Price, one of Britain’s oldest manufacturing companies, the style icon found matching cutlery in solid sterling silver. 

However, innovations and classic products by Waterford Wedgewood, Portmeirion, Khala and Rösle were also sources of delight and astonishment for Elizabeth Hurley.

Elizabeth Hurley was also visibly impressed by the UK Partner Country presentation. The fact that Ambiente 2017 is so dominated by the Union Jack is thanks very much to the work of the exceptional Scottish designer Janice Kirkpatrick who, under the heading Providence & Provenance spotlights the outstanding design expertise of the United Kingdom in an elaborate special exhibition.
