Find solutions at Ambiente

Boasting a new look, the Solutions display at Ambiente 2015 will showcase 22 clever products

At Ambiente 2015, Solutions will once again present products distinguished by special features. The special exhibition is one of the highlights on the programme of events for visitors at the world’s leading trade fair for the consumer-goods sector. “With products from over 4,700 exhibitors, the spectrum to be seen at Ambiente is huge.

The Solutions exhibition shows visitors and, therefore, the international retail trade, a selection of extraordinary product solutions with the potential to become sales hits with consumers, thanks to their clear and convincing functionality”, says Nicolette Naumann, Vice President Ambiente/Tendence.

About this year’s selection of products, Solutions curator Sebastian Bergne says, “The variety of entries was greater than ever before. Interestingly, it is frequently the small, simple products that are characterised by restrained intelligence and quality.” Visitors will be able to see this approach in the 22 products chosen for the Solutions special show in the foyer of Hall 4.0.

From the numerous products submitted by Ambiente exhibitors, Bergne has chosen, for example, ‘CanDo’, a can opener by Joseph Joseph. Compact and smooth in operation, the kitchen aid is equally suitable for left and right handed users. ‘Magic Grip’ porcelain products by Kahla are characterised by slip resistance thanks to silicone applications on the underside.

Thus, the dishes protect not only sensitive surfaces, they can also be put down almost without a sound. The broom of the ‘side by side’ label of the ‘Charitas Wendelstein Werkstätten’ charity organisation is actually two products in one. Thanks to the magnetic fixing, the handle can be removed quickly and easily from the broom to turn it into a hand brush. Employing a rotation principle, the multi-functional ‘Balancia Collection’ by Mastrad permits boiling water to be poured off safely. In addition to cooking and preparing food, the individual dishes can also be used for serving. The ‘Eco-Cake Box Total Solution’ by Zan’s Global Limited unifies a similar variety of functions. The smart cake box has perforation lines and embossing so it can be torn apart to create useful implements – plates, forks and spoon – thus making additional disposal utensils unnecessary for picnics, etc. ‘Cookie Puzzle Animals’ by Lékué are cookie cutters that guarantee great fun for the whole family. 15 different animals can be produced with just a single cut – the animals are then broken up and laid on a baking tray. The product also includes recipes and games.

The complete Solutions selection at a glance:
‘Cheeez’ cheese mill (AdHoc), ‘Wipy’ vase cleaner (AdHoc), herb / spice mortar from the ‘250°C plus Poletto’ series (Asa Selection), ‘Geschenkpapier-Clip 2 in 1’ wrapping-paper cutter (Betty Bossi), ‘BK Innovita®’ cookware (BK Cookware), ‘Fisch auf dem Trockenen’ sponge (Fackelmann), ‘UnBrella’ umbrella (h concept), ‘CanDo’ can opener (Joseph Joseph), ‘Magic Grip’ dishes (Kahla), ‘Master Class Crusty Bake’ baking pans and trays (Kitchen Craft), ‘Mixer Splatter Guard’ (Kuhn Rikon), ‘Cookie Puzzle Animals’ cutters (Lékué), ‘Herbstick’ (Lékué), ‘Balancia’ dishes (Mastrad), ‘Twister Lighting’ wall and ceiling luminaires (Partitur), ‘Sixth sense’ gourmet cloche (Rosenthal), broom- brush set (side by side Caritas Wendelstein Werkstätten), ‘Farbenspiel’ icing bag (Städter), ‘4FOOD’ containers (Tescoma), ‘Ultima’ cooking dishes (Tescoma), ‘FANtastic’ shoe dryer (Unikia), ‘Eco-Cake Box Total Solution’ (Zan’s Global Limited).

Together with the Ambiente Team of Messe Frankfurt, Sebastian Bergne has come up with a concept that, in common with many of the products on show, branches out in new directions. He explains: “This year, we have redesigned the Solutions special show so it is more domestic and less like a works laboratory. The exhibition is set in a warm and natural environment with high-tech associations, much as our life at home will be in the future”.
