Trend scouting at Ambiente

Ambiente provides support for the new generation with its successful Trendwatchers format

Entering its fourth round at Ambiente 2015 is a rather young, but already very successful format: from 13 to 17 February 2015, the ‘Trendwatchers’ are once again on their research tour – and are extending their scope.

If the students from the Fontys University of Applied Science from Tilburg/Netherlands have so far been carrying out their field research for Loft in Hall 11.0, from 2015 onwards they will also be including Halle 4.0 in their researches and here the product emphasis is on Table Contemporary Design.

There will be guided tours where the young trend experts will be presenting Ambiente visitors with their quite personal trend products.

“In cooperation with the Fontys University we are providing targeted support for the new generation in the field of trend scouting. We are creating interfaces between the fair, exhibitors and the new upcoming generation, and are offering the trendwatchers the opportunity to make new contacts with the consumer goods industry and to develop existing ones”, says Nicolette Naumann, Vice President Ambiente/Tendence.

The tours are held four times a day from Saturday to Tuesday: twice in Hall 11.0 at 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm and twice in Hall 4.0 at 12.30 pm and 4.00 pm. Larger groups have a possibility to book their own separate tour. Those interested can make sure of a place in advance of the fair or place an inquiry. A brief email to ambientetrendsgmail.com is all that is needed.

The trendwatchers will also present the results of their research at a stand in the foyer of Hall 11.0. The research can be followed digitally in the trendwatcher blog under www.ambientetrends.com.

With around 40,000 students, the Fontys University of Applied Science is one of the largest institutions for higher education in the Netherlands. It is one of the few universities in the world to offer students the subject of ‘Trendwatching’ as part of their ‘International Lifestyle Studies’ course.
