Beatriz Ball chosen for sustainable display
Award-winning tableware company Beatriz Ball is selected for SustainAbility Exhibit at NY NOW gift show, which runs through February 7, and will also showcase its sustainable products at Spring Fair and Ambiente
Tableware resource Beatriz Ball has been selected for inclusion in the curated display SustainAbility: design for a better world, at the NY NOW gift show.
Environmentally- conscious and socially-responsible products and producers will be showcased at Javits Center, during the February 2017 show in New York City.
The Beatriz Ball collection includes metal serving platters, centerpiece bowls, ice buckets, pedestal platters, wine coolers and gift items, all made in a metal alloy utilising 100 per cent recycled aluminum. They are made by hand in the company’s own foundry, one piece at a time,
using the ancient art of sand-casting and are hand polished to a deep lustrous finish.
The sustainable tropical hardwood items are made by artisans in the company’s wood working facility. They include cutting boards and presentation platters with metal handles and contrasting design elements. The wood originates from forests that have been certified as well-managed, according to strict standards of environmental and social responsibility.
SustainAbility spotlights global home and lifestyle suppliers whose products, production processes, business practices are eco-friendly, socially responsible, philanthropic or fair trade related. In 2010 NY NOW published criteria that the industry can use to identify green products and producers.
Beatriz Ball will launch its eco-friendly collections in Europe, first at the Spring Fair in Birmingham and then at Ambiente in Frankfurt, in February 2017.
