Exclusively preview: Tradestock

During the upcoming Exclusively Housewares show, which runs June 12-13, Tradestock will present present new festive designs for accessories and extensive glassware collections

At upcoming show Exclusively Housewares, which takes place June 12-13, and which will deliver a 150-strong lineup of the best brands in housewares, including an increasing number of tabletop companies, Tradestock will present will provide on-trend inspiration for AW18 with new festive designs for tabletop accessories and extensive glassware collections including additions to its Raising Spirits concept and renowned brands Durobor and Crystalite Bohemia.

Offering a striking alternative to numerous clear glassware collections will be Jewel, (pictured), a range of opulently coloured wine glasses and tumblers.
 
Also, the must-have festive trends for 2018 are epitomised in the new Christmas designs from Tradestock, which feature across placemats and coasters. Both Christmas Treats and Rustic Christmas exude a handmade craft style with crafted decorations and a festive wreath made from edible goodies set against rustic natural backdrops.

And while housewares and kitchenware, in particular, is a focus here – there is a 150 strong lineup of the best brands in housewares - there are an increasing number of tabletop companies also exhibiting, from cutlery from Robert Welch, Elia International, Arthur Price, Viners and Jean Dubost, glassware from Nude, Jeray, The DRH Collection, Premier, Arc International, Tradestock and LSA International, dinnerware from Fairmont & Main, Denby and Navigate and giftable tableware from T&G and Creative Tops, among others.

“It’s great to see more tableware at the show this year, with new products from Ladelle and LSA, as well as new exhibitors such as Nude Glass and Arc International,” says Lindsay Hoyle, sales director. “As we head into the Christmas dining and gifting period, Exclusively Housewares has some fantastic exhibitors showcasing a wide range of giftable products which are ideal for the fourth quarter.”

New exhibitors, all 28 of them, this year include Forma with its brands Eva Solo and Sagaform; Arc International with its glassware brands; Pasabahce with its glassware, Root 7, offering an array of glassware, tableware, barware and gift; U Group with its catering supplies, glassware and crockery; and Vitality House, best known for its Eco Living range which uses bamboo in a range of fabulous colours.

“We believe Exclusively Housewares is a fantastic show that appeals to a strong cross-section of our target customers, from major high street brands to entrepreneurial starts, each one looking for something fresh and new,” says new exhibitor Arc International’s country manager, John Goodman.

Buying decisions can be inspired by a visit to view Scarlet Opus’ trend displays in the Trend Hub, featuring 25 highlighted products. The displays for the 2018 show focus on the AW18/19 trend Imperfect Beauty, tipped to be a popular Christmas merchandising theme, plus two other trends, and selected products will be shown alongside the trend colour palettes, styling and description, allowing retailers to photograph products along with merchandising inspiration and ideas.

A further 20 must-see products are highlighted throughout the show and 40 minute tours of the show floor to see the products with the Scarlet Opus team can be booked.

New for retailers this show is the chance to win a Survive and Thrive consultation, where the winning store will benefit from a review by Scarlet Opus of its layout, décor, product offer, merchandising and customer experience and be offered recommendations for development.

Also new is a brand-new initiative with Bira, where Bira members attending the show will receive a £100 bira Bonus voucher, which they can use towards an order with a minimum value of £300.

Finally, the show will deliver an array of practical and helpful seminars. Sponsored by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA), five speakers, including market research experts GFK, will deliver inspiration and new methods to help retailers and suppliers take their business forward.
