New and returning tableware brands and new trend tours at the 15th edition of Exclusively Housewares, which runs today, June 14, and tomorrow
Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical are looking ahead to Christmas 2016 and Spring/Summer 2017 when they open today, June 14, at the Business Design Centre, London.
“We know from contact with Exclusively visitors that trade shows are important, not just for finding new suppliers and new products, but also to get an overview of what is being planned for the seasons ahead,” says show director Simon Boyd.
“This year the Exclusively shows are aiming to give buyers a helping hand to search out and recognise on trend products – focusing particularly on Christmas 2016 and the spring/summer season for 2017.”
2016 exhibitor line up
Exclusively Housewares has 120 leading housewares suppliers exhibiting, representing many more brands.
Tableware regulars include Apollo Housewares, Arthur Price, Bodum, David Mason Designs, Denby Brands, Eaton Dining, Elia International, Hot Plate Products, Mason Cash, Maxwell & Williams, Price & Kensington, Premier Housewares, Typhoon, Viners and Western House.
While new tableware exhibitors to the show this year include BergHoff, BOSKA Holland Cheesewares, Falcon Products, Luxury Housewares – representing Chroma and Mepra brands, My Gifts Trade, Plan B Marketing, World Kitchen as well as seeing a welcome return for Fairmont & Main and Villeroy & Boch.
New trend tours
In addition, buyers will be able to join the team from trend forecasters, Scarlet Opus, on new accompanied Trend Tours around the show. Sponsored and supported by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA), Scarlet Opus will be sharing key details about upcoming trends, and pointing out products that embody ‘the look’ customers will be asking for.
Exhibitor’s products that characterise the various trends identified by Scarlet Opus will also be displayed together in on a new On Trend area to give visitors an easy overview of each of the trends.
This display will include trend ‘mood boards’ and an example of a merchandised Christmas window display to help retailers understand how they can interpret the trends in their own stores.
Free shows seminar programme
The shows’ regular Wednesday morning seminar programme is back with three presentations aimed at retailers keen to stay on top of consumer trends and gain an insight into what their customers will be looking out for in the future.
Speakers will be John Ryan, stores editor or Retail Week, who will be taking a look at how housewares and SDA are being merchandised in-store; Anthony Williams, business group director, of leading market research company GfK who will be revealing how the market has been performing, and is likely to perform in the coming year, and Phil Pond and the Scarlet Opus team who will be revealing what consumers will be looking for this Christmas and on into spring/summer 2017.
The presentations will start at 11am on Wednesday, 15 June in the ‘On Trend’ display area.
