Ideal Homex attracts top buyers
Ideal Homex 2015 Housewares Fair in Turkey welcomed leading retailers from across Turkey and 94 countries worldwide
Ideal Homex 2015 Housewares Fair, a Life Media and Tarsus Group organised exhibition, welcomed Turkey’s leading retailers to this year’s show, which took place from April 2 – 5 at TUYAP exhibition centre, Istanbul.
Senior buyers from the housewares industry placed over $60 million* dollars’ worth of orders with over 400 Ideal Homex exhibitors across 7 different market sectors**.
The show welcomed 23,693 visitors, a 5.2% increase on the 2014 event. Following considerable investment in a targeted international visitor marketing campaign for the 2015 event, the show also enjoyed a 24.7% increase in its international visitor audience, attracting buyers from 94 countries worldwide.
Ideal Homex 2015 brought together leading brands and key buyers, creating a unique business platform which once again attracted the full support of the industry. Mirroring the continued success of the Turkish housewares market, Ideal Homex 2015 grew not just in terms of its visitor audience, but also in terms of exhibitor numbers and floor space with over 7,000 brands exhibiting their latest product lines at the event.
One of the key developments for 2015 was the unveiling of a new show layout which proved hugely successful for the hundreds of suppliers who showcased their latest decorative and imported housewares products within halls 7, 8 and 9 of Ideal Homex.
The move enabled suppliers to reach a larger proportion of Ideal Homex’s contingent of gift retailers, alongside the thousands of specialist kitchen shops, department stores and multi-channel buyers who regularly attend the show.
Another exciting new development for Ideal Homex 2015 was the launch of a number of impressive show features including the TableScaping area which featured creatively designed table arrangements showcasing up-and-coming dining trends, and the Trend Corner which highlighted the very latest in Turkish design.
For the first time in 2015, 8 leading Turkish retailers competed to produce the most imaginative table settings at the TableScaping feature in Hall 3. These were voted for by the industry at the show and featured products available to purchase from exhibitors at the event. First place was awarded to the contemporary and colourful table setting by Keramika, a Turkish retailer renowned for its outstanding contemporary design and imaginative product offering.
