HOMI Milan to return in 2015
As lifestyles show HOMI delivers its third edition in January, it looks forward to the Expo
HOMI, the lifestyles show organised by Fiera Milano, is coming up on its third edition, scheduled in fieramilano from 17 to 20 January 2015. It is ready to start over just one year after its debut.
The engagement will feature plenty of opportunities for professionals and exhibitors, based on the success of HOMI in the two Italian editions in January and September last year and the promising debut in Russia during Moscow Design Week in October 2014.
As a result, while the increasingly strong interest shown by international buyers confirms the originality of a format like HOMI, the event aims to be a reference point for exceptional style and design again in 2015, a very important year for Italy when it will star on the international scene thanks to the World’s Fair.
With an innovative formula that brings together in a single show myriad aspects, theme satellites, high impact settings and integrated exhibition spaces with new areas dedicated to business, good living and experimentation, HOMI reinvents itself and anticipates the trends in style.
Inside the satellites Living Habits, Home Wellness, Fragrances & Personal Care, Fashion & Jewels, Gifts & Events, Garden & Outdoor, Kid Style, Home Textiles, and Hobby & Work the visitors will find invaluable theme areas such as HOMI Experiments, dedicated to research and experimentation with projects and proposals by young designers and artists and HOMI Special to discover innovative new concepts as well as fascinating new twists on the tried and true.
The Creations area will return in the January edition of HOMI, organised in association with Artex – Centre for Artistic and Traditional Tuscan Handicrafts, and dedicated to artistic handicrafts and small businesses, often very small businesses, which bring together innovation and research with the concept of manual “expertise” applied to the technical innovation and materials in objects that bring together design and tradition.
Creations will host the Homi Creazioni Design and Homi Maker Design Award. The former places a specific accent on research and welcomes designers and makers that present innovative products and projects. The latter is a space that hosts winners of the Artex competition addressed to young under-35 talents which are approaching the world of design for the first time and who have the opportunity to debut their ideas before the greater public for the first time.
HOMI is not only an exhibition event; it is an ambassador of style and styles. This is why, after the September debut, January will welcome HOMISPHERE, the innovative concept that defines new lifestyles in the expression of wine and food, hospitality and contract.
HOMISPHERE caters to a market segment looking for good taste, comfort, design and exclusivity. It is a platform that designs innovative formats of hospitality and food, to provide the visitor the style and elegance typical of Italian production through three different exhibition circuits, where the idea of aggregation and relationship between businesses present the new frontiers of hospitality.
Milan will gradually come alive in the months before the opening day of Expo 2015. To bring the taste for beauty to the city during the opening week of the HOMI event, it will also be in attendance at the Triennale di Milano, into the space of TIM4EXPO, where the exhibiting companies off HOMI will have the chance to illustrate how style has evolved and so that their new trends and products.
