Homi to grow international footprints

The lifestyles exhibition Homi has signed an agreement with the Egyptian Export Council, opening up a major partnership with OTSA (Overseas Trade Show Agencies-UK) and meeting new companies with multiple dates abroad

HOMI, the Lifestyles Exhibition organised by Fiera Milano, aims to expand its international breadth and promote scouting in countries where local companies can use the event as a reference point for their development.

The plan includes strategic alliances with international trade promoters and a series of commercial and promotional workshops in countries that differ by tradition and production.

From this perspective, HOMI presentation in Cairo, Egypt, at the start of the month, was extremely rewarding. During this event, the meeting with Egyptian companies was followed by HOMI and EECH Egyptian Export Council for Handcraft signing the agreement.

Egypt is a major exporter to Italy of home goods, especially textiles, decoration and costume jewellery – and coming to this agreement allows local craftsmen to attend these dates with the Lifestyles Exhibition, beginning with the September 2015 edition, where some important North African companies will be attending.

HOMI has moved its sights toward the southern Mediterranean, but it is not stopping there. HOMI is signing new agreements and setting new dates with key international stakeholders to involve foreign companies in the great Lifestyles Exhibition.

As a result, the Exhibition is enjoying the attention of the big players interested in increasing the internationalisation of companies and has entered into an agreement with OTSA – Overseas Trade Show Agencies, an English company that is in contact with and offers consulting to hundreds of companies, by identifying for their customers the most promising and profitable engagements in the world of international trade fairs.

Meantime, to bring its open, innovative offer to as many professionals as possible in a dynamic and changing world, HOMI is also moving toward new companies and is planning a long “road show” that will make stops in Scandinavia, Hungary, Eastern Europe, Spain and Portugal.

With a myriad of agreements that is always in tune with the needs of the many companies that belong to the segments that HOMI represents, the Lifestyles Exhibition becomes an event of growing strategic value, for Italian and international companies.

The presence of HOMI abroad does not stop only at the road shows, but is also structured around two important engagements, concurrent with two great events dedicated to home décor and luxury: the event will take place in New York from 16 to 19 May 2015, concurrently with ICFF and in Moscow, from 14 to 17 October 2015, running simultaneously with I Saloni Worldwide.

But HOMI, founded chiefly on the great tradition of Italian style, is preparing for the next edition at Fiera Milano, from 12 to 15 September 2015, with its particularly international flavour, also thanks to the presence, just around the corner from the exhibition venue, of Expo Milano 2015, the World’s Fair that will welcome the world and will change the face of the Milanese city.
