HOMI offers complete lifestyle
Just one year after its debut, Homi Milano, which is scheduled to take place January 17-20, to feature a range of lifestyles in one single event
From day-to-day wellness to health care, from decorating accessories to jewellery, from household fabrics to work needs, the boundaries of HOMI Milano have been stretched to embrace every nuance of lifestyles and home living, while anticipating all the trends.
With an innovative formula that combines theme events, high-impact installations and exhibition spaces integrated with new areas dedicated to business, entertaining and experimentation, HOMI is brand new, edition after edition.
In the next edition, the third edition of the revamped show, the Living Habits, Home Wellness, Fragrances & Personal Care, Fashion & Jewels, Gifts & Events, Garden & Outdoor, Kid Style, Home Textiles, and Hobby & Work satellites will introduce visitors to theme areas such as HOMI Experiments, dedicated to research and experimentation with projects and proposals by young designers and artists and HOMI Special to discover innovative and interesting new twists.
The new feature in January includes CULTURE, a group of spaces that represent specific strategies and focus on the HOMI sector which, for this debut, will be dedicated to the satellite events Kids, Outdoor and Wellness. The concept is to integrate traditional exhibition techniques while presenting companies and products with a clear, concrete and innovative vision marked by style and while expanding the business opportunities of operators and bringing into relationship “culture and product.”
The January edition of HOMI will include Creazioni, an exhibition staged in partnership with Artex – Centre for Artistic and Traditional Handicrafts of Tuscany dedicated to artisanal handicrafts and craftsmen. The space will combine the essence of innovation and research with the concept of manual “expertise” applied to technical innovation and materials in objects that bring together tradition and design.
Creazioni will encompass the Homi Creazioni Design andHomi Maker Design Award. The first, which places a specific focus on research, includes designers and manufacturers who will bring innovative products and designs. The second plays host to winners of the competition directed to designers under the age of 35, approaching the world of design for the first time and who can debut before the general public with HOMI.
HOMI is not only an exhibition event; it is also an ambassador of style and styles. This is why HOMISPHERE is returning in January after the September debut, as the innovative concept that includes new lifestyles in the expressions of food and wine, hospitality and the contract industry. In this edition, the exhibition concepts have developed with original stories in the natural space, which moves forward creatively towards contemporary life and the contract industry, coming up with a hybridised version of style and functions that absorb tableware along with food preparation and the new ways of sharing and dining together.
In addition, a new edition of “La Magnifica Forma” , the experimental workshop dedicated to the dialogue between design and artistic heritage, now in its third edition. Event organisers have invited a number of world-famous designers to conceive ideas for five residential spaces, dedicated to one of five different Italian’s regions, to showcase the identity and uniqueness of each.
Under the supervision of architect Anna del Gatto, the designers will test their skills with a bedroom inspired by Tuscany, a dining room inspired by Lazio, a living room inspired by Sicily, an office inspired by Lombardy, and a kitchen in the Campania style.
The objective is to identify and illustrate a style of Italian living with new and original formulas, adding a contemporary dimension with reference to the landscape and artistic heritage of our lands, so varied and transversal: a true added value of our fine Italian production.
HOMI January will also present a show on the theme of SPAs, created by the architect Simone Micheli, that will be characterised by a three-dimensional simulation of an experimental spa.
Lastly, Fieri Milano is in the Negozio Incontro area of Milan, which is highlighting opportunities for entertainment, information and training. The event includes workshops organised with Retail-In and shoow cooking by Chef Maurizio and Chef Andrea who will use the products presented by exhibitors to create signature dishes, inspired by their recipes, side by side with the artistic installations in the event thanks to the collaboration with the cultural association Art to Eat, Eating Art.
And then, Art Space, Gift and Tableware Association, which have chosen the January edition of HOMI to present ENJOY THE TABLE, a special project dedicated to tableware, cooking, and entertaining. The partnership with fieramilano will be obvious every step of the way to involve not only the January edition of HOMI as well as TUTTO FOOD in May, HOMI September and HOST in October.
