The first HOMI Russia attracts 8,160 visitors

The Fiera Milano event dedicated to lifestyles debuted successfully in Moscow confirming the potential of the internationalisation strategy

A concept that has convinced international professionals backed by a winning synergy that develops the culture of Italian design: logging in 8,160 professional visitors, the first edition of HOMI Russia ended on Saturday, 18 October, which has allowed the best in Italian and international production to make contact with buyers on a dynamic, attentive market strongly interested in the Italian offer.

At the same time as the I Saloni Worldwide and during Moscow Design Week, HOMI, the Fiera Milano event dedicated to lifestyles, has taken the pulse of industry professionals, bringing companies in contact with a market that has superior potential for business.

“The success of this first edition confirms the potential of the internationalisation strategy at Fiera Milano,” noted Michele Perini, President of Fiera Milano. “With a significant direction toward promotion abroad and areas where Italy excels such as food, tourism and design. It also points to the most interesting markets for companies through dynamic and versatile exhibition appointments that can attract a growing number of professionals and the most qualified buyers interested in our country’s products.”

“With 120 exhibitors involved, which have already demonstrated interest at the last edition of HOMI Russia,” continued Perini. “HOMI represented the winning formula to gathering the finest in furnishing accessories and decor, and meeting the needs of international buyers. As in past events organized abroad, these have led to an increase in visitors to the counterpart Italian events.”

The debut of HOMI abroad was also a success thanks to the system action, synergy with Federlegno Arredo, SMI (Sistema Moda Italia) and ITA (Italian Trade Agency) which have contributed to creating opportunities for companies in the Italian home décor sector. Finally, the partnership with ITE, which represents a commercial force on the Russian landscape, has delivered real support to event organisation.

A team effort that has also included a front line of institutions, including the Region of Sicily, which believed in the opportunities offered by HOMI Russia, and many professionals and personalities in the industry, who have participated in the event, sharing their expertise with professionals through workshops and very popular conferences.

HOMI was founded in Milan less than one year ago and has all the potential to pursue its international business aspirations with new engagements involving foreign buyers from around the world, thanks to the strategic cooperation initiated with ITA which was immediately essential to the success of this first edition.
