IHA’s redesigned website eases navigation
The relaunched International Housewares Association site features a modular design and photography-focused navigation
The International Housewares Association has unveiled its redesigned website, which features a modular design and photography-focused navigation to make content easier to find.
Found at housewares.org, the site now features a multi-column layout that can be reduced or expanded depending on the information to be displayed. The navigation was designed so visitors to the homepage can easily self-direct themselves to the type of information they need, whether they are IHA members, consumers, news media or others looking for information on the International Home + Housewares Show.
“Nearly one million unique visitors come to housewares.org annually,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president and CEO. “Through the redesign, we wanted to create a narrative about IHA as a whole. The association is the umbrella for our services, which include the International Home + Housewares Show and Inspired Home, our consumer-focused website. Whether a visitor to the site is an IHA member or exhibitor, show attendee, consumer or news media, they can easily find the information they need.”
Complete site content is listed at the bottom of every page to make navigation a one-click process, Brandl added. Links at the very top of the housewares.org home page direct visitors to specific areas of the site: Show, Members, Press, Consumers, Education and About IHA. Clicking on the Show link takes visitors to a landing page where they will find content boxes for Exhibitor Resources, Attendee Information and Press Resources, as well as be able to watch videos from the 2015 show, register for a badge or hotel room and learn more about show events, keynotes and educational sessions.
The Consumer section offers Products and Trends for Your Home, a link to Inspired Home for consumers, and IHA Members—Reach More Consumers, which explains how members can reach consumer through Inspired Home.
