Licensing Awards 2017 open for entries
Calling all companies who wish to enter the second edition of the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards - send in entries and nominations for 2017
The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2017 (B&LLAs) are now open for entries and nominations.
After The B&LLAs’ successful debut this year, the 2017 awards programme will build on rewarding excellence in brand licensed merchandise, IP management as well as retail execution.
The entire entry and nomination process for The B&LLAs 2017 is via online submission – and is free of charge. The entry and nomination forms have now gone live and can be accessed from the dedicated website (www.brandlicensingawards.co.uk
). The deadline for entering is 17 February 2017, following which a validation process for each of the awards sections will ensue, involving panels of industry experts pertinent to the awards categories.
Owned and organised by Max Publishing (which has a pedigree in both licensing and awards, exemplified by the UK Licensing Awards and the Licensing Source Book), the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards received a warm welcome from the industry in their inaugural year, as endorsed by top level support from leading bodies and companies.
Brand Licensing Europe was quick to re-commit as the headline sponsor of the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards.
Commenting, Anna Knight, brand director of Brand Licensing Europe said: “We’re delighted to take part in the B&LLAs as headline sponsor once again this year. BLE is committed to supporting and celebrating excellence in brand licensing and collaboration with the B&LLAs is a great opportunity to do just that. We saw some fantastic examples of innovation at last year’s awards so I’m looking forward to seeing a really strong shortlist once again.”
Worldwide licensing trade association, LIMA also had no hesitation in officially supporting The B&LLAs 2017. As Kelvyn Gardner, managing director of LIMA UK commented: “Brands have really stepped up into the licensing limelight and the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards duly recognise excellence in this field. We are proud to build on our existing association with Max Publishing and The Licensing Awards by giving The B&LLAs our wholehearted support.”
Other leading industry names who have already pledged their support as sponsors include TLC, Beanstalk, CPLG, Start Licensing, Golden Goose, Pinkey Consulting, Those Licensing People, Happy Jackson, Octane 5 and Autumn Fair.
The winners of the Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2017 will be unveiled at a lavish afternoon event held at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London on Thursday 27 April 2017, that will be attended by over 375 retailers, licensees, brand owners and licensing representatives.
Commenting, Ian Hyder and Jakki Brown, joint managing directors of Max Publishing said: “Thanks to the extraordinary level of support we received from the industry, the inaugural B&LLAs truly recognised the dynamism and innovation within the growing brand licensing arena. The 2017 B&LLAs will further build on this, with this year’s award category parameters having been tweaked so that they even better reflect brand licensing activities.”
