Maison Americas gearing up for second edition
The second edition of Maison & Objet Americas, scheduled to take place May 10-13, will feature more than 300 brands
Now in its second edition, Maison & Objet Americas is a curated show featuring design concepts and solutions for hospitality, food & beverage, main retail stores and shows.
A high-end interior design concept, it offers both customized design solutions and exquisite accessories, including luxury linen and tableware.
Sambonet and Artel are just two of the tabletop brands that took part in the debut edition of Maison Americas last year, which proved to be a great success.
The first edition attracted some 10,939 visitors, with 39 per cent of them interior designers and architects, to view the 300 brands from 24 countries worldwide. Top visiting countries were the US, Brazil, Canada, France and Mexico.
“It was a remarkable fair. Within hours of the opening we had sales and serious leads that already recouped the costs of participating! The designers, architects, editors, and retailers who visited with us during the week were all very serious about sourcing exceptional products, and we were thrilled to be a part of such a well-curated show,” says David Charette and Jay Britto of Britto Charette.
The second edition, which is scheduled to take place May 10-13, 2016, will deliver more than 300 exhibitors, with tabletop brands including Medard de Noblat, Deshoulieres, Rosenthal and Sambonet, Vallari, JL Coquet, Costa Nova, Cristal de Paris, Artel, Forge de Laguiole, Hering Berlin, Roberto Cavalli and Serax.
several events will take place to make the experience complete. This includes the Designer of the Year, which is awarded to an industry professional from North or South America who has made a notable contribution to the interior design and lifestyle industry in the past year.
This year, architect and designer Rafael de Cardenas has been announced as Designer of the Year.
In addition, and true to the DNA OF Maison & Objet, the show will celebrate the creativity of this star continent by presenting the work of six emerging talents.
Both the Designer of the Year and the Rising Talents awards will be presented during the Award Ceremony. Last year, more than 500 VIPs were in attendance.
As the forecasting side of Maison & Objet Americas, the Interior Design & Lifestyle Summit will bring together leading industry experts in design and decoration.
Listeners will have the opportunity to decode the major trends on the market today and for tomorrow, as well as discover projects from prestigious architects from the American continent.
Finally, bringing together excellence, innovation and emerging trends, Maison & Objet Americas is partnering with numerous cultural institutions and galleries, with events taking place all across Miami Beach.
