Three NY NOW exhibitors win eco awards
Online voting determines 10th semi-annual Best “Green” Products in NY NOW's Summer 2014 Eco-Choice Awards
Two Canadian companies and one Brooklyn-based company – including tableware company, Circa Asia – are winners of the 10th semi-annual Eco Choice Awards for Most Sellable, Most Innovative and Most Sensitive Use of Materials, respectively, for products to be featured at the summer 2014 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home+ Lifestyle (formerly NYIGF®). The Eco Choice Awards are co-sponsored by NY NOW and GREENRetailer magazine, and winners are determined through online balloting.
“We’ve reached a milestone with the tenth edition of Eco-Choice Awards, but the demand for ‘green’ products shows no signs of fading,” said Christian Falkenberg, NY NOW director and senior vice president. “NY NOW attendees will be among the first to see these three winners, and hundreds of other new eco-friendly products, at the summer market.”
The winners and finalists of the summer 2014 Eco Choice Awards include a tableware/kitchenware company called Circa Asia, based in Canada. It won the Eco-Choice Award in the Most Sensitive Use of Materials category for its Mango Wood Large Ribbed Serving Bowl made of food safe wood sourced from controlled, sustainable mango plantations.
NY NOW, the Market for Home + Lifestyle, will run Saturday, August 16, through Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94.
