NY NOW announce buyer promotions
New mobile app, NY NOW VIP dollars programme and buyer orientation webinars to enhance market experience
A new buyer promotion and powerful new features for NY NOW’s mobile app will enhance the onsite market experience for buyers and suppliers at the winter 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home + Lifestyle, January 31- February 4, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Pre-Market, a free NY NOW orientation webinar also is available, on-demand, to help first-time attendees make efficient and effective use of their time at Market.
“A positive and productive market experience is on tap for all NY NOW participants,” said Randi Mohr, NY NOW co-director and vice president, “We are offering online tools to help buyers prepare for Market, and onsite activities to engage, educate and entertain all Market-goers.”
NY NOW will debut a brand new mobile app, which will create a customized show experience for each user, at the winter Market. New features this winter will include interactive floor plans, lists of featured products, details about resources showcased in three special displays, and an “inbox” with email that spotlights select exhibitor products. The app also will continue to deliver users ready access to Market information, exhibitor lists, seminars, special events and related social media.
As part of its inaugural “NY NOW VIP Dollars” promotion, NY NOW will give away thousands of dollars – in $250 and $500 increments – to select VIP buyers during the winter Market. Winners, which will be drawn randomly from registered participants, can redeem their NY NOW VIP Dollars with exhibitors for onsite order-writing.
A special free, on-demand, pre-market webinar, titled “NY NOW Orientation - Get Ready, Get Set, Go!” will orient first-time attendees and help them navigate the market. Subjects will include planning, organizing and managing time at NY NOW, as well as helpful tips for first-time buyers. The webinar is available for download from www.nynow.com/programs.
During the Market, a comprehensive four-day roster of educational sessions and special after-hours networking events will be offered. Educational highlights include industry experts sharing design and color trends, social media and related marketing strategies, the basics of importing and other business-building advice. NY NOW-hosted after-hour events include the popular “Night on Broadway” featuring specially priced tickets to HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, half-price ($9) admission to the newly redesigned Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and Gift for Life’s 23rd Annual Party for Life fundraiser.
