Interior Lifestyle China returns to old home

Back to the Future for Interior Lifestyle China 2017 as fair returns to the Shanghai Exhibition Center, with an earlier date and a brand-new layout

The 2017 edition of Interior Lifestyle China will have a Back to the Future feel to it, as the fair returns to its old home: the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Last held at this venue in 2012, the building dates back to 1955 and was designed in the Russian and Empire style neo-classical architecture common at that time.

The ambience of the fairground, both inside and out, will match with the fair’s high-end design and lifestyle focus. A major landmark in Shanghai, it is located close to the city centre ensuring a convenient exhibition experience for all participants.

In addition to the change of venue, the fair will be held slightly earlier this year, from September 14-16, to benefit from the two major furniture shows occurring that week in the city.

A new venue brings a new layout, which will be as follows. The venue’s West Wing will feature the dining and kitchenware zones, the Central Hall is allocated to interior decoration, fragrance and tableware exhibitors, while the East Wing is where the chic gifts and high-end merchandising zones can be found.

As China’s only international trade fair focusing solely on mid-range and high-end interior design and lifestyle products, the fair naturally attracts a number of distinguished brands. In 2017, this includes returning brands such as Glaskoch / Leonardo, Brabantia, Felix Solingen and Alessi. Joining for the first time will be De Lai Pin which represents over 70 brands from Germany including Koziol, Bürstenhaus Redecker, Schnitzler, Triangle Tools, Rommelsbacher and Zielonka; Qdo from Denmark with its porcelain tableware; as well as JNBY Home with its range of towels, bedding sets, cushions and quilts.

Interior Lifestyle China 2017 is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd. For more information about the fair, please visit http://interior-lifestyle-china.hk.messefrankfurt.com
