Spotted at Top Drawer S/S17 reflects creative talent in the UK with 40 companies selected, taking place January 15-17

Designed to provide buyers with innovative, market-ready brands that tap into key design trends, Spotted at Top Drawer S/S17 reflects new creative talent in the UK. 40 companies have been selected for their originality, quality and the commercial viability of their products.

"Spotted just goes from strength to strength and this edition promises to be the most exciting yet. There's something for every Top Drawer sector from chic, modernist homewares and letterpress stationery to delicate filigree jewellery, handmade candles and fabulous floral shirts. There is so much creative talent in this country and I am delighted to be working with Clarion Events to bring the best of that talent to Top Drawer," says Charlotte Abrahams, Spotted Curator.

Ones to watch include:
Sarah Capel Printing will make her trade show debut at Top Drawer. She will showcase her screen-printed cushions and lampshades and unveil her new extra-large lampshades. With their trademark geometric brushstroke graphics, these home accessories add a playful touch to any environment. MAiK London is a sustainably focused homeware brand who are on a mission to create beautifully designed products in sustainably viable ways. All of its exclusive prints are designed in-house before being sent to the ethical printers and makers that they work with. MAiK will be launching a brand new range of placemats and coasters for SS17 at Top Drawer featuring their fresh, clean geometric patterns that are at the core of all their products.

Ruth Holly is surface designer and creator of Ruth Holly Paper & Home - her first independent offering and new venture into the tactile world of textiles. Her collection includes abstract cushions, lampshades, art prints, and recycled fibre cards and notebooks. Bhavin Taylor Design is launching a range of five furnishing fabrics along with a series of unique furniture pieces upholstered in these fabrics. Digitally printed in the UK these vibrant designs will add impact to any interior space. Bhavin’s Indian heritage and the bold design style of his interior design projects come together to form the inspiration behind this new collection - Tattoos.

Laura Knight Studio are pattern makers and designers of stationery and art prints. Drawing inspiration from graphic contrasts in pattern, colour and raw materials. Inspired by post war brutalist British architecture in her hometown of Sheffield, Laura is launching a homewares range inspired by images of the lost playgrounds of the social housing blocks. The Coconut Tin Card Company is the commercial arm of London based award winning Illustrator Finn Dean, whose background in illustrating book covers has led him to creating a range of original greetings cards and prints. A brand new range of greeting cards for children will make up part of the showcase to be unveiled at Top Drawer.

ANIMACONTEMPORANEA is a new brand who will debut their collection of giftware at Top Drawer. An Italian-based company producing handcrafted accessories in wood and glass, their appealing collection is minimal and functional with an emphasis on the strength and beauty the natural materials they work with.

Duck Ceramics, an independent pottery studio based in Brighton, will be presenting their collection of delicate craftsmanship which features simplicity and function at its core. Alice Duck hand makes her porcelain tableware by slip casting from bespoke molds that she has designed, giving each and every piece its own unique character. Ceramicist, Libby Ballard, will be showcasing her Libby Ballard Ceramics range of coastal inspired vessels. All her work is hand thrown in speckled stoneware clay and finished with a blend of mixed glazes in blue and green tones creating a collection that is a pleasure to both look at and use.
