Steelite hosts unique event at Hotelympia

Steelite International will hold an event at the London show today: “Putting Tableware on the Menus’ with chef Simon Hulstone

Steelite International will be holding a unique event on their stand 3142 at Hotelympia entitled ‘Putting Tableware on the Menu”. Chef Simon Hulstone will share the floor with Steelite International’s Creative Director and between them they will be discussing plating ideas, the inspiration behind tableware, bespoke tableware and the latest trends.

The 45-minute discussion will also include a Q&A session offering an opportunity to get advice, ideas and views on using tableware and making the best selection.

Tableware is recognised as one of the most important parts of the dining experience. In a survey carried out by Steelite International, 81 per cent of diners stated that the presentation of tableware is an important or very important factor. A well-presented table positively impacts their dining experience, according to 61% of diners.

The event is ideal for chefs, trainee chefs and all catering outlet owners. To attend the event, get ideas and tips from Simon and Andrew and to get involved in the question and answer session visit the stand at 3pm on Monday 28 April and 11am on Tuesday 29 April. Stand 3142.

In addition, one aspiring chef visiting this year’s Hotelympia will have the opportunity to enter a competition to win an exclusive Cookalong with award winning Chef Simon Hulstone, while a runner-up will receive £10,000 worth of tableware product, the equivalent of 50 covers.

At the end of the Hotelympia event Steelite will choose two winners to win the cookalong and £10,000 of tableware.

The winner of the Cookalong with Simon Hulstone will travel to Torquay in Devon with a friend and spend a morning or afternoon with Simon in his Michelin star restaurant, The Elephant. The prize includes travel and accommodation for one night in Torquay and lunch at the restaurant. If you are not lucky enough to win first prize you might feel compensated when you are choosing £10,000 worth of Steelite product of your choice.
