Viterra hosts art glass event
Boutique art glass brand Viterra to host art glass event at Carnegie Museum’s gift shop in Pittsburgh
The boutique art glass company Viterra will have an art glass event at the gift shop of the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh.
The event scheduled for December 2 – 4, will include special product displays, a raffle and product signings by Erica Friedman, curator of the Viterra collection.
Friedman, a trained glass blower, was born in Pittsburgh. Appropriately enough, her first solo show was in Pittsburgh, after college and when entering the professional art world. Friedman studied art glass with glass artist Dale Chihuly and taught at the Parsons School of Design in New York, the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Her work has been displayed in exhibitions at galleries from coast to coast.
Viterra items are sold by independent specialty retailers, design shops and museum stores.
