An alternative spin on the Royal Wedding
A Staffordshire ceramic designer has bucked the traditional commemorative trend by raking in sales for her 'alternative' Royal Wedding mug design.
The mug which features the slogan 'I couldn't care less about the Royal Wedding' is the latest design from former Staffordshire student Camila Prada.
The design came from Camila's increasing frustration at the media coverage surrounding the event, which is set to bring London to a standstill at the end of this month.
As a ceramics specialists and enthusiasts, Camila was also frustrated at the speculation that the bid to make much of the ceramics for the days itself was rumoured to be won by a Chinese company, and not anyone in the UK.
Camila, who has an MA in Ceramic design and has worked with companies like New English and the German ceramics firm Rosenthal, is keen to point out that the design is not a personal attack on the Royal family.
She added: "It's really not a personal thing against the actual people themselves like Kate Middleton or Prince William - it's more of a commentary on the hype the media create."
