Portmeirion and Creative Tops reach 'historic agreement'

Two well-known Tabletop brands in the UK have made an announcement, which is understood to be beneficial for both parties.

Discussions between the two parties were led and announced by Michael Haynes and Pat Dawson, Managing Director's respectively of Portmeirion Group and Creative Tops.

The two companies believe that design and innovation are essential to growing any business.  This constant search for new designs can sometimes result in companies coming along with similar ideas, which can potentially cause confusion in the marketplace.

 In order to avoid this it has been agreed that two Creative Tops designs, 'Orchard Garden' and 'Wild Strawberries' will be retired at the end of 2011.
 
Michael and Pat are both pleased that this result has been achieved.
