Palace deny Chinese manufacturer to create Royal Wedding tableware
Buckingham Palace have this week denied claims by a Chinese porcelain manufacturer that they have secured the contract to supply the Tableware to be used for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April this year.
As our latest issue went to press earlier this week, news stories were circulating that the Guangxi Shanuman Group announced the news they had fought off competition from many other suppliers to secure the contract to provide the tableware for the prestigious event.
However, a spokesperson at the Palace confirmed to Tableware International that the story was not true. Despite not being able to confirm who would be supplying the Tableware, it was confirmed not to be Guangxi Shanuan Group who had been quoted in the various articles.
We'll be working on this and a full round up to the Royal Wedding and its impact to the Tableware market in our forthcoming
March /April issue.
