Porcel shine on Israeli Shrine

A Portuguese Tabletop manufacturer has recently completed work to supply and restore a one of the holiest buildings in Israel.

Porcel fought off competition from other companies internationally to supply the gold clad tiles for the 'Shrine of the Bab' - a famed and locally well-respected local landmark.

The tiles were to cover the sites most recognises feature - its dome, a striking gold coloured featured that dominates the local skyline of Haifa.

The company's gold decal technology gives it a life expectancy of 200 years, and resistant to the effects of acid rain, dust storms and everyday water. Testing proved a life expectancy of 200 years.

The company fought off competitors from Italy, Germany the Netherlands and fellow Portuguese firms to secure the contract, which was completed at the end of March this year.

This project represents a major milestone for Porcel -- in its technology, in its commercial scope and in its role in celebrating part of mankind's history.  Porcel will be forever linked to this unique edifice that is revered by millions from around the world.
