V&B creates commemorative plate for Russian landmark

Today will see Villeroy & Boch launch a limited edition porcelain plate to commemorate the re-porting of a Russian landmark.

The company have designed the gold ornamented plate for the reporting of the Bolshoi Theatre, which has been undergoing refurbishment work for the last six years.

Today's reopening will see high profile visitors on site, including political figures, culture fans as well as those active in the arts and society.

The collector's item is plate displaying the famous ceiling of the Bolshoi that features Apollo and the nine muses.  Villeroy & Boch have also been involved in restoring the original Mettlach tiles in the theatres foyer space.
