UK pottery launches vision to go 100 percent 'Green'
Steelite International is this week unveiling its ambitious vision to go 100 per cent green by 2015.
The Stoke-on-Trent based pottery currently recycles a staggering 94 percent of all its waste materials - but has set a target to reach the full 100 percent in just four years.
The 100 per cent pledge - believed to be an industry first - was announced to staff at the start of the company's innovative 'Green Week'.
The week will see Steelite International hosting a series of guest speakers, events and activities at its Middleport headquarters to share its success story with more than 650 staff, their families and organisations associated with the organisation.
Said Chief Executive Kevin Oakes: "Steelite International has a world-class reputation for its work in reducing our impact on the environment. It is an issue the entire business has already embraced, and while we've already achieved outstanding results, we know we can do more."
