Reed & Barton to make Ambiente debut

It's Reed & Barton's time to shine as part of the Lenox family of brands at the upcoming Frankfurt Fair

Reed & Barton, for nearly 200 years one of America’s most prestigious brands, will be showing its renowned collections of baby giftware, picture frames, jewellery boxes and sterling giftware for the first time at the Frankfurt Fair at Stand C30-31 in Hall 4.

Acquired in May 2015 by Lenox Corporation, America’s leading company in home entertaining, Reed & Barton will now be able to build on its impressive legacy through the international distribution channels and relationships that Lenox provides. Reed & Barton’s global expansion initiatives will begin, appropriately, at Ambiente.

“As an American company steeped in honor and tradition, we are pleased to expand on the history, knowledge and craftsmanship of such an iconic American brand,” said Lenox CEO Peter Cameron of the acquisition.

Tim Riddle, who has led Reed & Barton for 14 years and will continue in this role, agreed, saying, “Both Lenox and Reed & Barton share similar histories that are rich in tradition and commitment to excellence, which makes for an idea partnership.”

Visitors to the Frankfurt Fair will now be able to experience the incredible assortment of Reed & Barton products that has been well known to America’s leading specialty retailers and jewelry stores for generations. Lenox President Lester Gribetz expressed his enthusiasm for Reed and Barton’s potential with Lenox. “There are so many categories that can expand. Reed & Barton can only grow.”

Ambiente is the first step in communicating to the world what the American specialty audience already knows. For example, “Reed & Barton has the greatest bar assortment in the world. Now everyone will know it,” said Gribetz.

Lenox will combine their unrivaled expertise in successfully creating and marketing products to fit the way people entertain at home today with Reed & Barton’s luxury heritage to create new demand for the brand’s distinctive offerings.

Peter Cameron expressed confidence in the future, “We’re well positioned to grow Reed & Barton while honoring the heritage of this unique American brand.”
