Atlanta shifts to new date run for 2014

The January edition of the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishing Market will be shifting to a Tuesday-to-Tuesday date pattern for its forthcoming edition early in 2014.

The show which showcases home, gift, area rug and apparel has been shifted slightly to react to buyers requests.

It is hoped the 2014 wholesale show cycle will yield increased connectivity, new cross-category selection and a merchandise mix of unrivalled scale.

"If it's next, it's here," notes Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., AmericasMart president and chief operating officer. "Starting Tuesday, January 7, we'll be delivering on that promise to the delight of legions of retailers magnetized by the seductive powers of all things new. Our January Markets will unleash the forces of possibilities in ways unmatched in our 54-year history," Portman adds.

The January Market also marks the launch of a greatly enriched website and the extension of free wi-fi accessibility across the seven million square-foot campus.

The successful integration of AmericasMart's HOME and RUG collection continues at the January 2014 Market with showroom expansions that are part of a comprehensive plan that has integrated nearly 60,000 square feet of these showrooms in the past year.

Across the connected three-building campus, Permanent collections are buzzing with ne
