BHETA announces January Meet The Buyers
BHETA to host another of its successful Meet The Buyer days in January, this time with Home Hardware in Bristol, UK
The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) is to host another in its successful series of Meet The Buyer days – this time with Home Hardware, the dealer owned and largest voluntary organisation of its kind in the UK for independently owned hardware and DIY stores. The event will take place on January 21st at Aztec West Hotel just off the M5 near Bristol.
Home Hardware comprises over 400 members including independent hardware retailers, housewares shops, cook shops, ironmongers and garden centres. Owned by the retailers it serves, Home Hardware enables its members to compete against multiple high street names and DIY superstores. By combining buying power, Home Hardware stores can offer value for money with prices continually benchmarked on products from around the world. The company provides national distribution from its two distribution centres at Barnstaple and Bedford.
The five-strong buying team will cover all categories from housewares and SDA to laundry to DIY and hardware to gardening. The brief from BHETA to suppliers is to focus on innovation. Participating suppliers will be allocated a 20/25 minute appointment with the relevant buyer for a maximum of two people. Suppliers will be given a templated presentation format to ensure that the limited time is put to maximum use.
BHETA’s home enhancement sector director, Will Jones commented, “This is a unique opportunity for potential suppliers and as such, is sure to attract a big response. There will also be a limit to the number of people that can be accommodated on the day and I therefore urge interested suppliers to contact BHETA as soon as possible with a view to confirming the category or categories of interest.”
BHETA’s Home improvement sector director, Paul Grinsell added, “We will do our utmost to accommodate everyone and need to receive initial applications as soon as possible, so please contact BHETA on 0121 237 1130 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org as a priority.”
