Twig's tabletop love poem
In collaboration with designer Brittany Jepsen, Hankook’s boutique brand Twig New York unveiled its new Language of Flowers collection at NY NOW
Hankook’s trendy new boutique brand Twig New York has collaborated with US designer Brittany Watson Jepsen to deliver a collection that is an ode to love through the language of flowers.
Language of Flowers records a love poem written by a boy to his beloved in the Victorian era secret language in which various flowers and floral arrangements were used to send coded messages,
allowing individuals to express feelings which otherwise couldn't be spoken socially.
Starting with the left side of the wreath to the right side, each flower reveals one more part of the missing puzzle poem. Included in the poem are amaranth globes, black-eyed susans, daisies, poppies, dandelions, tulips, morning glories, roses, magnolias, laurel leaves, laurestine, forget-me-nots, honeysuckle.
These beautiful flowers are delicately illustrated by Brittany, who has worked for famed designers Jonathan Adler and Celerie Kemble. The hand-painted like technique on the plates and mugs are feminine yet edgy.
