Bulldog pushes licensing boundaries
Bulldog Licensing's latest collaboration with Iconic Images will deliver legendary celebrity imagery of everyone from Sir Roger Moore to David Bowie
Bulldog Licensing has begun working with Iconic Images, a leading international owner and distributor in publishing, and a new player in the contemporary art market. The collaboration aims to break new ground in licensing, marrying stunning photography to the image rights of some of the most seminal names in the frontline of fame.
Iconic Images owns or represents legendary portfolios of renowned photographers who have captured the biggest names in movies and rock n roll in over six decades – from Marilyn Monroe to Amy Winehouse, from Frank Sinatra to Jimi Hendrix.
It has negotiated image rights with household names such as David Bowie, Faye Dunaway, Frank Sinatra, Raquel Welch, 007 Sir Roger Moore, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Marianne Faithful and others, opening up a unique and never-seen-before catalogue that chronicles the birth of celebrity.
This framework for new and quintessential global merchandising opportunities has been welcomed by licensees and retailers across all sectors - fashion, apparel, homewares and gifts – who have described it as ‘star dust’.
Iconic Images owns millions of historic photographs by world-class photographers such as Terry O’Neill, Baron Wolman and Douglas Kirkland and is continuously adding new archives for future licensing and merchandise.
