Cumbria Crystal launches two new collections
Luxury English crystal maker showcases its two brand new stunning contemporary and classic crystal collections at Maison & Objet in Paris
During Maison et Objet in Paris, which took place last month from September 5-9, English crystal manufacturer Cumbria Crystal, which has cutting-edge contemporary design at the heart of its success, presented its two new crystal collections for the first time.
Combining designer Katy Holford's classic English style with the development of traditional British glassmaking and cutting skills, the brand delivered Sabre and Regency.
A new collection of English full lead crystal stemware, Sabre (pictured) speaks of strong elegant lines. Designed by Katy Holford, it combines mitre and flute cutting on a classic wine shape to produce a stunning series of glasses in Cumbria Crystal’s classic english style.
Hot out of the furnaces and showcased alongside Sabre was the new Regency collection. Inspired by regency style, this new collection designed by Katy Holford, has simplicity and elegance at its heart. The fine design on the bowl is complemented by a flute cut stem, perfectly proportioned to produce a true classical design.
Cumbria Crystal has been privileged to design and hand produce limited edition pieces to celebrate significant royal occasions including the wedding of TRH the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Diamond Jubilee and most recently the birth of HRH Prince George of Cambridge. A combination of exceptional quality craftsmanship and innovative design has led the company to create own-label collections with bastions of British luxury including Asprey, William and Son, Linley and Thomas Goode and to be applauded at the Walpole Awards for British Luxury 2013.
