Leading name in wine visits Dartington
Founder of Laithwaites Wines takes tour of Dartington Crystal factory
Great wine is always best enjoyed from a good quality glass. That's why one of the best known names in the world of wine paid a special visit to North Devon to meet the team at Dartington Crystal.
Tony Laithwaite the founder and President of Laithwaites Wines visited the Torrington factory together with the Chief Executive of his Direct Wines group David Thatcher.
Dartington wine glasses have been used successfully by the leading direct wine supplier as an incentive and loyalty reward to their large customer base in UK and international markets.
After discussing future plans together Mr Laithwaite and his team toured the factory and saw hand-making of crystal before having a go at making their own glasses.
Dartington Crystal Managing Director Neil Hughes says: "In recent years we have built a significant and successful supply partnership with Laithwaites through the Direct Wines group. To have both Tony Laithewaite and his Group CEO here is a great compliment and indicates the strength of relationship we have created with these brands."
