Porzellanmanufaktur Fuerstenberg sets trends with its Omnia tableware range, acollection that adapts itself to the modern world by means of its reduction to the essentials and its timeless design.
This collection has now been honoured with the Red Dot Award 2016.
“With our collections, we want to show that a manufactory is not just about tradition and craftsmanship, but is primarily about having an instinct for contemporary developments. For us, Omnia is the essence of modern dining culture”, says Stephanie Saalfeld, managing director of Fuerstenberg, about the design award.
Omnia was developed together with the Vienna-based design studio EOOS. With just four individual pieces to be used, it handles any culinary eventuality: a dinner plate, a small plate, a bowl and a cup form the entire Omnia service.
The Red Dot Design competition for products has existed since 1954. The coveted award is the internationally renowned seal for outstanding design quality.
