Hospitality: Figgjo’s new spring launch
G & G Goodfellows and Figgjo continue to change tables in the UK with new spring launch
UK Distribution Company, G & G Goodfellows, are delighted to announce the launch of Figgo’s spring range. Figgjo, a Norwegian porcelain producer, have been working exclusively with G & G for more than six months. The collaboration brought the ‘Scandi Cool’ movement to the UK culinary scene last year, which introduced functional and stylish designs.
Due to the success of this, Figgjo aim to surprise the UK market once again with their spring range, with a little help from G & G.
“Figgjo have done it again,” said Valda Goodfellow, co-owner of G & G, “Figgjo’s collections are going from strength to strength and we are delighted to be working with them. Their new spring additions are really sophisticated and prove that Figgjo can cater for all types of dining.”
Today see’s the launch of Figgjo Brem, which consists of three elegant plates with lots of character. The flat base of these plates allows chefs to create sophisticated presentations.
“Our new Brem series of three characteristic deep plates designed by Constance Gaard Kristiansen and Wilma Greim,” said Erik Lorange Lindberg, Product Development Manager at Figgjo AS, “and they are great for informal environments as well as for fine dining.”
The popular Figgjo Base series has also been given a revamp and now features a handle, giving it a soft and informal style. “The new Figgjo Base plate with handle is super cool!" said Erik Lorange, “It is a perfect choice for a lunch plate, side dish or dessert.”
The Base series is also available in the colourful Skygge and Dryss decorations, which will brighten up any service in time for the spring/summer season. An alternative to the traditional round plate, Figgjo have also launched their new square plate today, with a soft look, giving lunch dishes a modern twist.
The collaboration between G & G and Figgjo is a strong and successful one and they will continue to go from strength to strength together. “It’s very inspiring to collaborate with Goodfellows, because of their great insight and experience within the field of dinnerware and culinary equipment," said Erik Lorange.
“We are delighted to have G & G Goodfellows Ltd as our agent for distribution in the U.K.," said Simmer Vikeså, Managing Director of Figgjo AS, “Figgjo’s extensive portfolio of products includes solutions for restaurants and caterers looking for stylish and durable products through all aspects of dining. We wanted to ensure our brand had the best possible representation in the U.K and we believe that G & G are the ideal partner to bring our brand forward. We want to develop into areas where G&G have a particularly strong influence and we look forward to working closely with them.”
