Sthål signs with G&G Goodfellows

Sthål AB, the Bohemian Swedish tableware brand, announces that it has appointed G & G Goodfellows as agent for distribution to the hospitality trade in the UK

Swedish tableware brand Sthal has chosen G & G Goodfellows to distribute its products to UK hospitality. Founded by Paul & Valda Goodfellow, G & G offers an amazing showroom in Baker Street, London (affectionately known as the Plate Cave by their customers).

G & G’s tableware collections offer originality and functionality at prices to suit every customer. They work with all sizes of restaurant and catering projects and have a real passion for bringing new and exciting food concepts to the UK market.

“We are delighted to represent this fabulous new brand in the U.K. hospitality market - the designs offer something totally different and fresh.  We know that chefs, restaurateurs and caterers will really love these shapes, colours and effects. To me, Sthål captures the essence of Hygge if you are looking to pick up on this key trend or simply use key pieces as focal points for a truly eclectic and timeless look,” comments Valda Goodfellow.

Sthål’s philosophy is simple - entertaining should be easy and fun!
With this in mind, Sthål have produced Arabesque - a collection of tableware ceramics that immediately creates a warm ambiance. Cleverly combining both Swedish and exotic influences, Arabesque finds inspiration in oriental pattern and ornament and the range of bowls, plates and platters is available in a selection of Scandi-influenced colour palette of glazes designed to be mixed and matched.   Thanks to the nature of the craft itself and the living character of both the clay and the glaze, every single item has a unique appearance.

Susanna Theander at Sthål says: “The UK is a new market for us and so it was important to find the best possible representation. We believe G & G Goodfellows understand our potential customer and are the ideal partner to take the Sthål brand forward for us this exciting new stage of the company’s development and we look forward to working closely with them.”

About Sthål AB...
The name Sthål originates from the initials of founders Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg. As designers and stylists, with a passion for food and good company, they were always searching for dishes and bowls with intriguing colours, shapes and patterns that stood out from the ordinary - tableware that would do the food visual justice, and create the right atmosphere.  As working with ceramics was a hobby for them both, they decided to create exactly what they were looking for. The result is bohemian ceramics that brighten every day of the week.
