LIMA commissions global survey
The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association appoints Brandar Consulting to expand and produce its annual reports
The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), the primary trade group for the worldwide licensing industry, has appointed Brandar Consulting, LLC to conduct the Association’s first Annual Global Licensing Survey. The new survey is designed to calculate the size of the trademark licensing business globally and within a wide range of key countries and regions, expanding its emphasis far beyond the U.S. and Canada. The initial results of this report will be presented in June at Licensing Expo 2015 in Las Vegas, and will represent the most comprehensive annual survey that LIMA has ever produced.
The information-gathering process is already underway, and industry professionals from around the world have been asked to participate by filling out a brief survey about their licensing activities, which may be accessed here. The deadline for respondents to complete the questionnaire is Monday, April 6.
“We are very excited to be working with Brandar Consulting on this comprehensive report of the licensing industry,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto. “We are committed to providing the most current information licensing professionals need to make informed decisions for long-term growth. Our new Global Licensing Survey will provide the type of data that is essential for helping to evaluate opportunities and develop strategic business plans, whether conducted globally, in specific international territories, or closer to home.”
The survey is offered in seven different languages and all responses will be kept confidential and secure. No information about specific companies will be shared in the report or seen by anyone other than the Brandar researchers. Please contact Marty Brochstein, LIMA SVP of Industry Relations and Information, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
LIMA selected Brandar Consulting for this critical data-collecting task after conducting an extensive search. Brandar has vast knowledge of the trademark licensing business, information-gathering skill and insightful interpretation of research data from a wide variety of sources.About LIMA
