William Edwards collaborates with Nathan Outlaw
Michelin star chef Nathan Outlaw partners with Stoke-on-Trent-based William Edwards on fine bone china tableware collection for Dubai restaurant
Michelin star chef Nathan Outlaw has selected William Edwards to design and produce a brand-new range of tableware for his recently opened seafood restaurant the Al Mahara at the world famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
This is the first collaboration between William Edwards, based in the heart of the Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent and Nathan Outlaw; but one of several that the team at William Edwards are currently working on.
Utilising the most simple, yet stylish options of raised white on white, the design takes its inspiration from minute fish scales, seen here in detail with Outlaw's signature dish of Lobster Risotto.
The Al Mahara has an underwater feel thanks to a wall-to-ceiling aquarium. This sideplate reflects the seaweed and oxygen bubbles within.
Over the past decade, William Edwards has offered a tailor made service to the hospitality sector across the world. It begins with a detailed brief, a series of design options are created and reviewed, before being silk screen printed then decorated and fired on the finest bone china. A choice of trims in gold or platinum are finished by hand.
