Nikko reorganises sales

Japanese dinnerware brand Nikko appoints Howard Charles Inc. to handle its nationwide sales

Nikko has appointed Howard Charles Inc. to handle nationwide sales for the Japanese dinnerware brand, as of January 1, 2015. Howard Charles Inc. is a New York based sales organisation which handles several high-end tabletop brands, the head of which is Charlie Breslin (pictured). 

Nikko's current Senior Vice President Tage Strom has agreed to remain to affect a seamless transition, but will then leave Nikko to pursue other opportunities.

Nikko has recently shifted its strategy and added more luxury collections, capitalising on its expertise in fine bone china production. Going forward the company will reduce its focus on ironstone and porcelain, to specialise in fine bone china for retail and for hotels & restaurants.

Through Howard Charles’s existing network of regional sales representatives, Nikko will benefit from increased sales coverage, access to a broader retail presence and participation at regional trade shows.
