Impressionism inspires Poole Pottery
Denby brand Poole Pottery launches a feminine, floral design inspired by the soft forms of impressionist painters
Poole Pottery has celebrated ceramic form, design and decoration since it was founded in 1873 and has a reputation for vibrant statement giftware collections.
Its latest introduction Jasmine, an addition to The Living Glaze collection, which is inspired by the elements of nature, is a feminine floral design inspired by the soft forms of impressionist painters.
Working with Poole’s artisans, the Denby Design team created Jasmine in line with interiors colour trends, where purples and blues continue to be popular.
Jasmine’s striking, vivid tones of rich violets and deep purple flowers are subtly graduated and offset with flashes of aqua, creating an enchanting image, like flowers in the breeze. The contrasting vivid hues are created in the kiln when the glazes melt together to create the bold effects for which Poole is renowned.
Still handmade and decorated in the UK, this collection truly pays tribute to the skills of both our designer Lorna Whitmarsh and Poole’s craftsmen.
The range includes nine bestselling shapes and a new addition in the shape of a beautifully deep round dish.
