Working in line with Royal Doulton’s ethos to create design-led ceramics, the new HemingwayDesign collection offers contemporary accessories for decoration, as well as everyday use. Each piece has been created to improve things that matter in life – a philosophy that was introduced by well-known founder Wayne Hemingway and one that is applied to all HemingwayDesign work.
Building on Wayne Hemingway’s roots in fashion, and an impressive 21 consecutive seasons on the catwalk, the family-run firm works across all design disciplines from housing and interiors, to graphics and product design. It is this experience that makes these new products so special. This exciting partnership sees the Hemingway family work directly with the talented Royal Doulton designers, bringing together years of experience to create a unique collection of products for the home.
On the partnership, Tilly Hemingway says: “We have been keen to work on a ceramics collection for some time as we are avid collectors of ceramic products as a family. The collection was a great chance for me and my father to combine our distinctive mid-century inspired design aesthetic with Royal Doulton’s brand heritage and we are delighted with the final range.”
Statement vases in a variety of shapes and colours make up a large part of the collection, from a striking bouquet vase with an embossed texture to a distinctive orange glazed rose bowl. Additionally, the stem vase boasts a bright yellow finish and tapered neck to create an interesting focal point in any room.
The HemingwayDesign collection also offers smaller items such as decorative storage jars, tealight holders or mini jugs in bright colours; making the collection perfect for gifting. Even the nesting ceramic trays are available in three sizes and coordinating colours, creating a well-rounded and complete collection.
