Creative Tops launches Roald Dahl homeware

Having signed the licence with the Roald Dahl Literary Estate earlier this year, Creative Tops unveils its first homeware collection featuring Quentin Blake’s storybook illustrations

Creative Tops, a leading tableware, kitchen and home décor company, specialising in the creation of trend-driven products for the home, has launched its first homeware collection with Roald Dahl.

A vibrant collection that is aimed at children and adults alike, these new products feature Quentin Blake’s infamous storybook illustrations from The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda, paired with Roald Dahl’s spirited quotes from these beloved books.

Popping with colour, the designs create a vivid and distinctive collection that perfectly captures the imagination and wit that makes these stories a national treasure as well as globally adored. Products tell the story of the eccentric chocolate factory where anything is possible, the little genius Matilda with her love of books, and the magical Giant Country where dreams come alive. Quotes illustrated from these stories include The BFG’s ‘This is where all dreams is beginning’ and Willy Wonka’s ‘Tremendous things are in store for you!’

Designs vary across three different styles of mug, a travel mug and a lap tray. One style of mug has real gold and silver detail and is presented in a luxury hat box, while another is a stylish footed design with colourful motifs inside the mug.

The travel mugs are double-walled and styled in lilac, teal and periwinkle with the Roald Dahl logo embossed on their lids for drinks on the go, while lap trays are an ideal work surface for writing or crafts, as well as for breakfast in bed.

Creatives Tops signed its licence with the Roald Dahl Literary Estate earlier this year. On their new licence, Creative Tops’ Buying Manager, Emma Jordan, says, "Roald Dahl is such a celebrated and treasured British icon that is loved across generations: children, parents and grandparents alike. Last year the Roald Dahl Literary Estate celebrated 100 years since Roald Dahl’s birth and saw book sales rise by 86 per cent as well as a 113 per cent increase in merchandise sales. The world’s number one storyteller, one of Roald Dahl’s books is sold globally every five seconds.
