Steelite International supplies upcoming winter olympics with 140,000 pieces of tableware
After winning the Olympic contract, British manufacturer, Steelite International, has delivered 140,000 pieces of tableware to the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Russia
Steelite International, located in Stoke on Trent, England, has manufactured and shipped the tableware to Sochi, the host city, in time for the opening of the Games, which will run from February 7-3, 2014.
The chinaware will be also be used at the 11th Paralympic Winter Games, which runs from March 7-16, 2014.
The 1,000 catering facilities at Sochi cover an area of 40,000 square metres, with four main restaurants for the spectators, including more than 30,000 seats in the catering section and more than 2.1 million additional services for the volunteers alone.
