Tradestock launches customisation programme
A new design initiative developed by Tradestock will allow the company to design, develop and deliver bespoke designs
In an exciting development, Tradestock chose Exclusively Housewares in London to launch the ‘Academy Project’, a new design initiative developed by the company following their recent investment in new printing technology at their headquarters in Somerset.
In essence, The Academy Project will allow the company to design, develop and deliver bespoke designs across core product ranges with short lead times, offering customer’s greater choice and the benefit of flexible stock commitment.
“We have always placed a great emphasis on all aspects of design throughout our product portfolio” explains Tradestock MD, Keith Nye, “and now, with the Academy Project enabling us to print designs on products in-house, our Somerset based design team will be able to work closely with customers, ensuring that the designs work aesthetically with different substrates, whilst also enabling us to enhance our design capabilities and develop design to its full potential”.
“For the launch in London, the show organisers kindly allowed us to use the official show logo on a selection of product samples ranging from glass worktop savers, glass coasters and cork baked placemats and coasters to our patented FreeForm® tray and even slate tabletop products. This allowed us to show how well we can reproduce designs on a selection of substrates”, continues Keith.
“The reaction to these samples was quite amazing with discussions on the stand covering a host of future design projects including enquiries from retailers for bespoke ranges and potential for personalised products for the wedding market. We also showcased two new Christmas tabletop ranges, samples for which were developed in days, thanks to the Academy Project.”
The potential on offer is not only limited to the retail trade. The Academy Project will also open up more opportunities within the hospitality sector and b2b. In fact, Tradestock recently won an International Promotional Gift Award for their FreeForm® tray.
“One of the key features reported to have won over judges is the large printable surface on both sides of FreeForm® which can offer individual designs and communicate promotional messages. Now, with the Academy Project up and running we can develop this sector further”, concludes Keith.
