Villeroy & Boch's new cutlery lines

New expressive cutlery lines and a new colour sums up the brand's flatware collections for 2015

A perfect table setting quite naturally requires cutlery. Equally pleasing in terms of aesthetics and functionality, high-quality stainless steel cutlery always makes a good impression – as with the two new cutlery lines from Villeroy & Boch: La Classica and Coupole.

And anyone wanting to introduce touches of colour to the table can do so with the S+ cutlery, now available in the new shade Rose.

La Classica: Classic straight lines
The cutlery La Classica has been developed with an eye to contemporary classic life- styles. The design is timeless with an emphasis on straight lines, rendering La Classica ideal for combining with high-quality tableware collections like Anmut, Modern Grace and La Classica Nuova. The design language of La Classica focuses on a contemporary purism interpreted in deliberately minimalist but extremely high-quality 18/10 stainless steel. The silhouette of La Classica is markedly slim, the handles appear long and narrow, and the clear lines and simple form give the cutlery a fine understated elegance. The high-quality hollow handle knife is well-balanced and comfortable to hold and is distinguished by its superior cutting performance. All items from the La Classica range are available individually. In addition there are sets of various sizes, for instance 24- piece, 30-piece and 70-piece, presented in high-quality gift packaging.

Coupole: Organic design
The cutlery Coupole is crafted from brushed stainless steel 18/10 and displays a round- ed, organic design language. It thus forms a wonderful complement to tableware in traditional and modern country style. Coupole, which has already proved a great success in the hotel and restaurant sector, functions well with many colourfully patterned table services and brings an additional charm to white tableware. All of the cutlery items are characterised by rounded handles and harmonious proportions. They are perfectly bal- anced and very comfortable to hold. The quality of the hollow handle knives is striking. Coupole offers a wide range of cutlery for various uses and is also available in 24-piece and 30-piece sets.

S+: On-trend touches of colour
The cutlery line S+ combines a clear basic form of minimalist stainless steel with a col- oured silicon coating on the handle. The seven fresh and fashionable colours Lila, Kiwi, Chili, Petrol, Sun, Taupe and Blueberry are now joined by a pastel Rose, allowing the S+ line to offer even more scope for modern colour combinations. The new shade matches well with many contemporary tableware décors, for instance Mariefleur or Mariefleur Gris, and with the new gift article collection Rose Cottage. The delicate rose tone also allows soft touches of colour to be effectively combined with white table services. The innovative material mix with coloured silicon transforms the cool stainless steel into an individual and emotive cutlery. The soft and warm silicon is extremely pleasant to hold and neither rattles nor slips on porcelain or glass when serving and clearing. S+ comprises dinner knives, dinner forks, dinner spoons, coffee spoons and cake forks, all of which are now also available in all colours as five-piece sets in gift boxes. Furthermore, salad servers, similarly in all colours, have been introduced into the product range. They are distinguished by a particular design highlight: the typical prongs have been replaced by a slot in the middle of the spoon that allows surplus dress- ing to drain away.
