Villeroy & Boch celebrates 15 years of NewWave
Paying tribute to 15 years of NewWave, Villeroy & Boch's groundbreaking design innovation, the company unveils a glazed stone look and new flatware
When Villeroy & Boch introduced NewWave at the beginning of the millennium – a dish series in which the plates don’t have a traditional round design, but rather an unconventional design with a dynamic form – it was a revolution on the table.
Often copied, but never equaled, NewWave has been a groundbreaking design innovation in dishware for 15 years now: asymmetrical, multifunctional dishes that again and again enable unique table settings have now become a fixed part of international tableware.
To commemorate 15 years of NewWave, Villeroy & Boch has developed another innovation for the successful concept: With an eye to current fashion and interior design trends with natural, structured material and surfaces a glazed stone look was developed for the expressive NewWave form that provides the design with even more modernity.
The gray NewWave Stone can be impressively presented together with the classic white NewWave version. There are eleven flat, angular plates to choose from.
On the occasion of the anniversary of NewWave the impressive NewWave flatware with its unusual turn in the handles is getting a sister: the design of the new flatware series SoftWave is feminine and elegant. The handle of the mono-block knife from SoftWave pleasantly caresses your hand. Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel 18/10, the flatware is not only aesthetically appealing, but also robust and durable and can washed in the dishwasher without worry. SoftWave is available in individual pieces and in sets at a discount.
